About Food for Education
Food for Education is a leading social enterprise feeding the future of Africa through sustainable sourcing, central production and simplified distribution logistics targeting Africa’s 250 million urban and peri-urban low income, public school students. Parents contribute for each meal through a mobile money platform linked to NFC wristbands. Children ‘Tap2Eat’ in under 5 seconds to access their lunch.
Key Deliverables
Tap2Eat
- Tap the watches during lunchtime and ensure proper management of the same
- Provide technical help and systems training for new TSMs
- Verify accuracy of daily reports provided by TSMs
- Perform regular reports to Tap2Eat Manager
People Management
- Responsible for managing Tap2Eat Officers on the ground in all aspects including but not limited to training, daily support and performance improvement
- Create initiative to enhance performance of the area team
- Be the key lead in assigned areas for any issues that arise including but not limited to absenteeism, lateness and conflict management
- Work with the Tap2Eat Manager to manage the wider Tap2Eat team Operations support
Operations Support
- Be the point of contact between the Operations team and Tap2Eat Officers on the ground
- Perform quality check during lunchtime such as cleanliness, timeliness, cleaning supplies,
staffing needs etc - Any other duties as required by the wider operations team
Desired Candidate Profile
- A diploma or equivalent in any discipline (IT-related courses will be an added advantage)
- Good grasp of spoken and written English and Kiswahili languages
- Prior experience working with tech platforms will be a huge advantage
- A mature professional, preferably over 25 years of age
- Willingness to work in any location within Nairobi
